South African Figure Skating Finals 2026

Announcement

Dear All,

The Central Gauteng & Gauteng North Figure Skating Associations, in conjunction with the South African Figure Skating Association, is proud to announce the inaugural South African Figure Skating Finals. This historic first edition will be jointly hosted by two provinces, an exciting milestone for our sport and our community.

All athletes who have qualified to participate at the SA Figure Skating Finals are hereby invited to register their attendance and confirm their intention to compete at the 2026 South African Figure Skating Finals, taking place from Saturday, 23 May to Sunday, 24 May 2026.

We look forward to welcoming you to this prestigious event and wish you every success in your preparation and participation.

Opening Ceremony, Draw & Registration (SAFSA members)

The Opening Ceremony and Official Draw will take place as follows:

Date: Saturday, 23 May 2026
Time: 14:00 – 16:00
Venue: To be advised. 

Attendees are requested to dress in smart casual attire.

A beverage will be provided following the ceremony. Please note that no meals or snacks will be served.

Formal registration and the issuing of competition accreditation will take place at this event

23 May – 5h00  Unofficial Practice

If your coach has booked unofficial practice ice time, athletes are expected to attend and arrive punctually, allowing sufficient time for warm‑up and taking possible traffic delays into account.

23 May – 14h00 Opening Ceremony, Draw & Registration (SAFSA members)

The Opening Ceremony and Official Draw will take place as follows:

Date: Saturday, 23 May 2026
Time: 14:00 – 16:00
Venue: To be advised. 

All athletes must wear official provincial tracksuits. 

A beverage will be provided following the ceremony. Please note that no meals or snacks will be served.

Formal registration and the issuing of competition accreditation will take place at this event

24 May 2026 – Competition

Athletes are required to regularly consult the official competition programme as published on the event website, as schedules are subject to updates and minor changes. Athletes must plan accordingly to ensure punctual arrival for their scheduled warm‑up and competition times, allowing sufficient time for preparation and taking traffic conditions into account. Late arrival will not be accommodated.

If you have booked unofficial practice ice time, please ensure that your athletes arrive punctually and are prepared to be on the ice on time. Adequate allowance should be made for warm‑up requirements and potential traffic delays.

Please follow the official website for any late changes to the program, you are responsible for ensuring that you and your athletes attend and arrive punctually. Please ensure adequate time is allowed for warm‑up requirements and possible traffic delays.

OFFICIALS

DEADLINE – 10 April 2026

Please respond to the SAFSA Secretary to confirm your travel details.

OFFICIALS TRACKER

Please be advised that there may be changes to the judging and technical panels. All updates and final confirmations will be communicated via the official WhatsApp group.

In addition, officials’ travel and accommodation arrangements will also be communicated through the same WhatsApp group.

Judges and Technical Panel members are requested to monitor the group regularly and take note of any updates that may affect their appointments or arrangements.
