Welcome to Nationals 2013 in Cape Town .
The schedule for both practices and competitions are listed in this leaflet and we request that you report to the marshals at the barrier outside change rooms 1&2,
at least 30 min. prior to your scheduled start time.

Practice times are tight, and music will be played only once, and in the scheduled order. No deviations permitted. Skaters to be ready in line for their run through.

An unofficial practice schedule is attached.
Patch cards must be purchased for all these sessions from the skateshop, and presented at the cashier to obtain a wristband which must be worn at all times.
Coaches all have to purchase a coaches card and follow the same procedure.
There is no practice ice scheduled for the afternoon sessions and we ask that you respect that that ice is for the WP skaters only.

Your music must be in MP3 format, and must reach us at the Ice Station, Vanguard Drive Goodwood att. Mr. Shern Allely, by latest Friday 3rd May, as a master will be used for the event and no single discs will be accepted in the sound-box.
You are however advised to have a copy with you in case of emergency.

The Draw will take place on Sunday 12th May at 10:30 am at the icerink, on the ice, so skates must be worn.

Your competitors badge will be presented to you at the draw, (Also for registered coaches, judges and team leaders 1 per province)
Please wear at all times to ensure entry to both the centre and the Ice Rink during both practice and competition times.
Dress code for the draw = Highest colours achieved and skates.
A seating plan will be provided – kindly comply and sit where indicated.
Light refreshments will be served after the draw in the upstairs function room area, to which all are invited. Pre-paid orders for Nationals merchandise including Action photo discs to be finalised upstairs at this time, this will be the last opportunity to pay and place orders.

Spectator prices:
R40 per event Children U 12 R20.00
Season tickets @ R120 for all 4 competition events, available at the draw on Sunday as well as
from the cashier at the rink.

Photographs will be taken on Tuesday, one per skater, in the kiss and cry area free of charge.
Any extra and podium shots can be purchased from the photographer @ R40 per print.  Action photo discs to be ordered by Sunday 12th, action photos will only be taken of those skaters who have ordered.  R100 for one program and R150 for two programs - discs to be collected on Tuesday night.

The official parade will take place on the ice on Monday 13th May at 19:00
ALL skaters will be required to march onto the ice, wearing their Provincial Tracksuits. No blazers or green tracksuits are allowed.

The upstairs area is for officials and invited guests only for the duration of the competition.

All presentations will be done on Tuesday 14th May, at 22:00.
Only the medal winners will be called onto the ice to stand on the podium.
The skater’s party will take place on the Ice, and skaters will be handed their party packs after the presentations.
The upstairs area, function room and cash bar will be open after the competition and everyone is welcome to enjoy a drink in this warm environment and have a chat before leaving, parents included.

Draws for long programs will take place in the off-ice room,(situated in the skate hire area) at 18:00 , and 22:40 which is straight after the short programs on Monday.

Participation certificates will be handed to all skaters as they leave the ice after the free skate.

Change rooms 1 & 2 will be allocated to solo skaters during the Competition and 3&4 to the synchro teams.

Protocols will be posted onto the SAFSA website.
